Is laser hair removal permanent?

Many men and women spend days of their lives shaving, waxing, or plucking unwanted hair on the face and body. What if you could save yourself the time, energy, and cost with today’s technology, and also enjoy permanent results? At North Scottsdale Med Spa, we are excited to offer permanent hair removal with laser therapies in our state-of-the-art facility.
What is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is a method of removing unwanted hair from the body with laser light. The laser light is emitted from a specialized device used at North Scottsdale Med Spa that penetrates to the hair follicle and stops hair production. This can only be done on hair follicles in the active growth phase, one part of the cycle of hair growth. Because of this, patients will need several sessions spaced weeks apart to achieve full and permanent hair removal in the treated area.
Are the results permanent?
This is a question we hear a lot from men and women seeking laser hair removal, and we are excited to say, “yes!” When patients treat their hair growth with laser therapies, they will see permanent elimination of these hair follicles. If patients are seeking a reduction in the thickness of hair in an area, such as the arms, chest, or back, less treatments can be used to treat fewer hair follicles. Full removal of hair in an area does require more treatment sessions. During an initial consultation appointment, our providers can provide an estimated quote for how many sessions may be needed to treat the desired area of the face or body.
Where can I have laser hair removal done?
Patients often choose some of the following areas for treatment:
